This is the first book I've read by Kelly and I liked it but it was way to short. Gunner is a fighter who walked away from his career before a huge fight. Now with everything on the line it is up to Krista to bring him back before the UFF goes and sues him for everything. Krista works for the UFF and her boss wants Gunner to do this fight at whatever cost necessary. If she can't convince him to come back, then she can't come back to Vegas for her job. What she doesn't expect is to fall for the guy and have a connection to him. It was too short and I'm waiting desperately for the rest. Watching this story unfold was like a horrible train wreck. Every time Krista opened her mouth more and more lies fell from her lips. I was watching this mountain build knowing that the avalanche was not going to be pretty. There relationship was a little awkward to grasp with the incredibly short length to this story. There was not much time to build the emotional feel that would promise excellent ratings. So, I was left with an entertaining story that holds much potential, but I felt needed a little more work. I would have loved to have seen a littl more attention to detail and the overall building to the storyline. The rush takes away from the stregnth that this story could have had. As with the very last story I just reviewed this was a story that could have used a little work, but I am intrigued highly due to the monumental cliff hanger that it just left me with. My only hope is that this will be a building series, and each and every installment with be a progression of talent and story. ~BookWhisperer Reviewer Jax~
Too damn short, instead of doing it in separate parts should of just made it a novel! Disappointed!
