When she’d spoken to John about it, he’d said to hold fire and to see what came up for him. But that had been over a week ago and he still hadn’t sorted anything out – although she knew something was going on. She’d hardly seen him for the past couple of days. Every time she asked him what he’d been up to, he’d tap his finger to his nose and smile. She wondered if he was doing a trial for a company, see if he was what they were after. ‘Hey, gorgeous,’ he said when he came in twenty minutes later.
