I was actually attracted by the cover of the book. It was a bit slow at the beginning but then the story just caught me by surprise. I really enjoy reading about Leora, her insecurities and how she lets her fall for someone way older than her but someone who respects her as a woman. The way she loves Key is amazing and I really enjoy their friendship and the breath of fresh air Key gets from Brad (thank you Leo for asking him for his number). I was so mad at the end but I think it was expected. I just hope there's a follow up story, I really want to know what happens to them, if not I'll keep reading from the author. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end! Yes, some of the writing was different, like the parentheses around thoughts, but that in no way took away from the story. The main characters were teenagers (17), however, I found them to be more 'grown up' than many adults I know. I think their pasts had a lot to do with that. Of course, as an adult woman, I did find myself rolling my eyes from time to time at some of their actions, but hey, they wouldn't be teenagers without a little immaturity. I felt the story was a bit dark and the author wasn't afraid of pushing some boundaries. I love that! The attraction between Conall and Leora was intense and steamy! By the end, I was hooked and ready for the next in the series. Let's just say I was disappointed to see I would have to wait. So work hard Rachel Dunning! I can't wait to see what happens next!
What do You think about Finding North (2013)?
I have no idea why this books has such high ratings. I really don't...
