Totally disappointing and a waste of time. I literally could not find a single reason to care about anything going on in the book. Everything was very "meh". If I weren't so anal retentive about finishing books, this would have been a DNF without a doubt. It had potential, but was so very lacklustre. Completely boring. Second book of his that I've read and just really didn't care for. The only reason I even went ahead and started this one was because of the fact that it had such a high rating. The characters were fairly annoying and weird, and by the end I literally wanted to tear my hair out because of the nonstop "waxing philosophical" that was taking place and being executed so poorly. I will not be subjecting myself to another one of his books. I wanted to like it, which is why I kept pushing on; Unfortunately, it just fell completely flat for me. While there were parts I liked ( no major angst and no irrationalities that kept Parker and Victoria apart) I think I didn't love it due to the writing style. It was very wordy and too prim and proper for me. Parker was very stiff, but it's like the author tried to lighten it by making Victoria cuss a lot. The premise was okay, but seemed very far fetched. Especially for someone who was supposed to be so smart, yet couldn't find a job. And then Victoria was supposed to be so strong yet took shit from a total ass of a boss for too long. Just wasn't for me.
What do You think about Finding Parker (2014)?
Just so great! No sexy scenes but they weren't needed. Damn, that book was good! Just loved it.
