So finally we have a continuation of Matt and Janie's story. Both of them have to get their heads out of their asses and confess their feelings.We also find out that Janie's neighbor is a creepoid who is really interested in Katy even though Katy's told him to take a hike.Something horrible happens to Katy and Janie and Matt and his brother Mark fly out from NY to Portland and that's how Katy meets Mark...which we learn more about in the next book.There's an HEA for Janie and Matt and an epilogue that was written before the author decided to continue the series, because it's really not needed.I liked the way the Lathem family is large, with a matriarch that's fun to read about. The writing quality could be better. There were a few to many typos and an editor is needed to help smooth out repetitive words and stories. Janie left New York heart broken and now has to accept she will never have Matt. Matt thought he could let her go, but after hearing why Janie left the way she did from her best friend Kate he has to decide if he will go after her. With their whirl wind romance can these to have a forever or will two weeks be all they ever had? Of course the answer is no and this ones shows their story to it's finish as well as setting up the next couple for the thrid book in the series.I loved seeing Matt fight for what he wanted after finally realizing it and watching him woo the woman of his dreams. Seeing Janie happy and moving foward in her life you can feel how content she is with her life. And then there's the horrible part of the story where tragidity strikes and you see another Lathem brother step up and you catch a glimpes of how his story will start for the next book.Had a blast seeing their happily ever after come to life and the way the story is written it's like you're there with the characters and invested in their lives. Can't wait to read more about this first class family so I'm off to start now!!.
