Steel bothers the reader with endless descriptions about the main character as well as the world and the people surrounding her. In addition, Danielle Steel repeats herself when doing the previously mentioned descriptions . The book looses its grace not only in the descriptions and repetitions but also in uninteresting and unimportant facts to which Steel gives more importance than to the main plot line. The love story told in his book (which has the potential to be a good story)is given few relevance . For those who have read, and I warn those who haven't and plan on it that from now on I might give away some crucial information about the story (SPOILERS), you know that the relationship between Timmie and Jean-Charles is hardly there. If we don't count with the phone calls that are over and over explained in the book and with Timmie's thoughts that are always the same, we will have only a few pages on the relationship between the two main characters. After having finished the book I found myself craving for more information about the relationship as well as how was their baby. With less repetitions , with better writing and more on their relationship it might have been a delightful book. I don't normally read DS books as the stories are usually a bit slushy for me. This is an ok story and not one of her best. It tells the story of Timmie a successful clothes designer and Jean-Charles a French doctor who meet when she is taken unwell Paris whilst showing her new collection. The last third deals with the problems they fave to be together which were a bit clichéd. An okay read but not one it would recommend. Her best book? Thurston House.
Definitely NOT my favorite Dabielle Steel novel - almost a waste of 10 days.
