This book appeared as a free eBook and I have an eye for a bargain. Very well written, interesting take greek mythology, although I have to say although it started with a bang it ended on a relative low point for me. As the book is part of a series I thought that it would follow further on what I thought were the central characters but it appears not be the case. It is however very well worth a read, the dialogue between the protagonists is great, the themes are interwoven well with the mythological aspects and all in all you would not regret picking it up. I enjoyed this book well enough, I guess; but, I would say, it was pretty formulaic both in the romance and the good vs. evil. The romance between Skye and Aiden wasn’t filled out enough. Sorry but Skye and Aiden “fell in love” way too fast and they got out of that cave way too easily. Also, the scene as the prologue where Aiden was looking at the wall of pictures wasn’t given enough “flesh” in the rest of the book. It appeared that it would be a part of the story, but disappointingly it was given short shrift.I did like the part where Skye goes off to the little cabin on the mountain with Rafe, her dog to find her emotions. Maybe I just like the forest. All in all while not a bad read, it could have been better. Let’s see what the next installment brings.
