When Andy Hawkes's parents are tragically killed by a hit-and-run driver, Andy is sent to live with his mysterious grandfather. Andy has never met his grandfather before--because his grandfather is an inventor of super-secret stuff. Andy's grandfather lets him try out some of the inventions, including a really cool jet-pack. When some secret-stealing bad guys show up one day threatening his grandfather, Andy decides he has to take action. He's not going to lose another person he loves, so he straps on the jet-pack and becomes The Hawk!
