This book was one of the best I've read! It was very exciting and action filled with a twist at every corner. I enjoyed this book because it was sporty and detailed. "Football Hero" is about a middle school boy that is living with his unloving aunt and uncle. He lost his family and all he has is his brother who is a football player about to go into the NFL. Things are looking grim for Ty until he gets a surprise visit from his brother, who takes him to the NFL draft with him. When Ty gets onto his school football team, nothing goes well. He is bullied and battered but he has to build up the nerve to become a Football Hero. I would recommend this book for kids in grades 6-8. It was a good book that was full of action. Anyone who likes sports will like this book. The main character in the story I read, Football Hero, Ty, a football genius, and Seth, a NFL player. Seth gets picked to be a bellboy on an NFL team, Ty starts to figure out the plays the other team is going to run. He tells the coach and he doesn't believe him. Ty shows the coach what he can do and the coach makes Ty tell him what the other team so that they can win. A news reporter sees Ty talking to the coach and get suspicious. The news reporter catches Ty before he gets on a plane to back to his house and asks Ty some questions. The next day, Seth goes to a sports doctor and gets a vitamin shot. When Seth and Ty come out of the doctors, the news reporter is standing out there and takes a picture of Seth and Ty and runs off. A day later, when Seth gets the paper, on the front page it says that doctors have proven that Seth has taken steroids and that Ty has been stealing other teams plays. Ty goes to Seth's doctor and tricks into lying on film and shows the video to the NFL boss. They also watch a game with the NFL boss and Ty shows him that he can really predict the plays that other teams are going to use. After they watch the game the NFL boss tells Ty that he can still be bellboy and Seth can still be a NFL player.
