Footsucker (1997) - Plot & Excerpts

Being a proud Footman since I was a 7 years old boy, I couldn't wait to read this book when I discovered it. Overall the Book was pretty good and I enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't care for was the way the Author kept trying to "sell the reader" on how normal the Main Character is ! I suppose Geoff was trying to make the female readers more comfortable to the average "Vanilla" woman who was new to the Fetish World. How does anyone define normal anyway? I always think of the quote from the famous Shoe Designer Manolo Blahnik way back in 1982 (long before Sex & The City made him mainstream) when he said...."I love feet, I adore feet. But I don't understand this word foot fetish. Loving shoes and feet is something you have or you don't. I think the foot is the most expressive part of the body. Forget about hands or faces. Really.....in restaurants, in hotels, anywhere....I tend to say, Take your shoes off. I want to see your feet ! "Vogue Magazine April 1982". Amen Manolo......Incidentally, the author Geoff Nicholson is the real life husband of long time Leg Show magazine Editor Dian Hanson. Dian is currently the Editor of Taschen Publishing....the well known publisher of the oversized Art Books which feature many erotic titles.

This is not a typical Jessica reading selection. I got this in a bundled book swap...so I gave it a chance...The nameless narrator is a man with a shoe and foot fetish. One day he spots the perfect pair of feet on the street and starts a relationship with the women who is their owner. Soon enough he also discovers the perfect pair of shoes and gives them to the woman... and voila... they are a perfect fit. This is yet another book that is not for the faint of heart. The plot was a little dull and flat despite the risque subject matter.

What do You think about Footsucker (1997)?

I needed something to get my mind of of some serious studious reading that I have been doing. This title really fit the bill. The storyline is very adult in nature and definitely not for everyone. It isn't the greatest work that I have ever read on twisted subjects, but it was not bad. I will admit that the plot twist near the end gripped me enough to delay going to sleep until I finished the book.Footsucker gives a fictional (or is it?) glimpse into the sexual tastes and fetishes of the main character and those who willing and not so willingly step into his path (no pun intended). A dark look into human nature and relationships that isn't really that far off the mark when it comes to the primal nature of sexuality. The author shares some unique psychological insight into the minds of his characters that I am sure some readers can identify with. Relationships are complicated and messy, and Footsucker illustrates just how messy they can become if left unchecked for too long.
