Jolene Asdale owns a boutique car dealership selling exotic cars to people who can afford them. She is one sale away from being successful, and she has just the car. A shiny Ferrari in her showroom, a possible buyer, and she wore her dress boots. What could go wrong? Well, for one thing, when she opens the door to show the interior a dead body falls out. Not just any dead body, but one belonging to Tim Lapham, whom she formerly dated and more recently had a heated discussion with, or was it an argument? And who should show up to investigate the dead body, but her soon to be ex-husband Deputy Ray Parker. I love this series. Her mechanic Cory Kempe is a delightful character and Jolene's best friend. Her sister Erica who is bi-polar and escaped from the psychiatric center with a sociopath named Sam. All of the characters are lively and entertaining, the mystery is compelling, and all in all a good read. Excellent book! This is the first book I have read by Lisa but am getting ready to start the second in this series. Might be a late night if it's as good! Erica's Christmas gift to Jolene brought tears to my eyes. So very sweet!Glad to have found a new author to read. I can't remember if you friended me here or on Facebook but whatever it was, I thank you!Looking forward to many more books by you, Lisa!
What do You think about For Better, For Murder (2009)?
This was an enjoyable "light" murder mystery. Am looking forward to For Richer, For Danger!
