This book is very different to what I would usually read. I loved how they met, I love that they stayed one pals and connected throughout the years. Even through times of hardship. I especially love how they became so fond of each other and almost reliant on each other through small pieces of paper. I felt like their first meeting in 5 years was a little rushed. But still ok. I honestly wasn't expecting such graphic 'love scenes', having gone through the whole book without any. I,m not sure how I feel about Ever's twin Eden. Again I'm not sure how I feel about their father. I understand how he feels. I felt really bad for Cade after his losses. I especially felt for his father, but understood 100% how and why he behaved the way he did. Towards the middle - 2/3 of the way through the book, I questioned whether I'd even finish it, but it picked up again, and by the end I had one clicked the next in the trilogy. Cliff hanger beware! All in all a really good book. 4 stars. I thought I wasn't going to like the whole pen-pal thing, since the characters aren't physically interacting, but I was pleasantly surprised at how intense their letters were. I was captivated by this story and completely drawn in the entire time. Very hot and descriptive scenes, but also sweet and adorable. I loved the way they experienced sex together like they'd never done before. Everything was new in that way, and they were so close despite only being in each other's presence for a short time. Extremely powerful relationship between Ever and Caden.Ummm...cliffhanger much? It was slowly easing upon me and I started yelling "No. No! Nooooo!" and then BAM! Wasn't expecting it to end so abruptly, and while some readers may detest it, I kind of liked it. Of course, I'll be swiftly moving on to the next book. Highly recommend this book for a bit of spicy and sweet romance and tragic, gut-wrenching story. ****4.5 Stars****
