This book reminded me of "The Golden Girls", but instead of older women, the ladies in this book are two sisters and their mother and instead of congregating in the kitchen over cheesecake, their "go to food" is the different types of salsa that Emma (the main character) is always making. The women are faced with different hardships regarding their love life.Emma is a widow with a six year old daughter, and is ready to get back into the dating scene. Her sister, Laura, is a surgeon whose husband ends up leaving her for a much younger woman.Their mother is faced with a cheating husband/father to Emma and Laura and doesn't know if she should or even could start dating again.Their relationships with each other are strained through all of this because of the different dynamics.I found this book to be a great, light read and I finished it within 3 hours because I didn't want to stop reading it. Plus, I could never find a good place to stop and put the book down. This book was ok. I found this as a freebie. This wasn't really a romance but more of a life story. The characters were good and the story line was good, but this wasn't really my cup of tea. This might be good for a movie though. It reminds me of the ya-ya sisterhood movie kinda thing. There were some good humorous parts that I really liked but overall the whole thing was kinda just...there. I wasn't really gripped into the book or waiting to see what happened next, but it would be great for something to read if nothing else was available. The ending was good though. I don't think I'll read this again, but I wouldn't consider it a complete waste of time. Good Luck!
