I won this on the Goodreads giveaway. Wonderful story of a woman trying to overcome her dead husbands wrongs. She wants to fix everything along with her life and prove herself in her new business. Her dead husband seems to get the last laugh in the form of an oversized nude statue delivered to her front yard containing his ashes. What would you do when senior ladies show up on your front yard to use the statue as their subject for their painting class? Abby handles it with style... Toss in loving, infuriatingly protective brothers and a case of the hots for the local celebrity you have an exceptional story. I too received this book free from Amazon and at first I was really enjoying it. There is a character to whom you can easily relate that is just having a bad day when she should be having the best day of her life. The love story between to the two (Abby and Jack) was okay but they kept lightly brushing on two things: Jack's childhood and the fact that the mother left home and also on their (Abby and Jack's)previous relationships in high school in college. I gave the book two stars because they go into no detail. I feel as though knowing why Abby was so hesitant to trust Jack now would have been really beneficial. Some backstory would have been excellent. Otherwise, its a fairly cute romance book. However, some extra character development would have been highly appreciated.
it's an easy read, finished it relatively fast. I did enjoy it...
