Front and Center book 2 in the Back Up Series starts off where Back Up leaves us. This book is filled with challenges for Jack and Lelia. Their relationship is for sure put to the test. With an angry ex band mate, an ex pregnant girlfriend, and the trashy tabloids with their rumors Jack and Lelia struggle to keep it all together. Will the challenges keep them together or tear them apart forever? That's where you need to read to find out! This book is jammed packed with emotion, suspense, and HOT, HOT, HOT bedroom and not bedroom scenes. Can't wait to read more of this series!!! So first, credit given where credit is due. I spent a lot of time in my review of the first book - The Backup - reviewing the writing because for me, it significantly affected how I felt about the book. This second installment was a great improvement in writing style. We had more dialogue and less description and it flowed much better. And, unless I just got used to the errors of word usage, etc, it was edited better as well. Well done author. That said, I didn't love the story as much. The characters are all very well developed, but much of the plot was unoriginal and fell a bit flat. Frankly, I felt the the book could have been about 100 pages shorter as it became a bit repetitive.I am going to attempt book 3, but have some fears that since it is described as a "no-angst follow the characters" book, that I could be a bit bored. I'm not sure I can take another 300 pages of fluff...... but I guess we will see!!
What do You think about Front & Center (2000)?
Great book but can go on for a bit... can't wait for the 3rd book. :)
