Fun romp through the micro culture of home party products. Provoked a nostalgia for Tupperware and Princess House crystal ware. Apparently it was too tempting for the author to lead each chapter with a clever quote from famous people but I wish she would have restrained herself since it interrupted the flow of the story. Nevertheless, there were cute phrases, likable characters and a fast pace, making this book an enjoyable read. Toni Diamond is an agent for Lady Bianca cosmetics (sounds a bit like Avon), she’s one of the best in the company. It’s the company big convention of the year and thousands of agents are descending on the hotel to hear news of new products etc.During the first part of the conference a body is found but Toni is sure that the woman is not part of Lady Bianca due to her appearance.Toni’s biggest rival is Nicole well that is until she’s also found dead.In between the conference, snooping into the investigation and also getting it on with the cop investigating the murders Toni is a busy lady.
What do You think about Frosted Shadow (Toni Diamond Mysteries #1) (2011)?
Funny murder mystery novel with high selling cosmetic convention.
