Oh my! This was...wow. If ever there was a doubt that the DMC is the place for me, this shattered it. Talk about depraved, taboo and uncomfortable! But so well written and beautiful, yes beautiful, in its simplicity. This author has a very easy flowing, yet powerful, writing style. Daniel and Peter, what a journey; no easy feat in only 130ish pages. I love Daddy kink, but I've never read any where the 'Daddy' actually makes the boy act like a child. Very disturbing at first, but that ending, wow. Gawd, I need a sequel to this. Just one job so I can see how the dynamic plays out. Those seriously into Daddy kink will totally love this. All others might best be served steering clear lol. I am rather at a loss for how to review this book.It is brutal, chilling, and waaayyy beyond my comfort zone. It is a train wreck...but a train wreck that you can't look away from.It is a story about the power of....power. Poor Dannny/Daniel! He's pulled from life with his dreadful wreck of a father into an equally (if not more) dreadful life with Archer, a puppetmaster, who pulls Danny apart, turning him into Daniel. I'd hoped (in vain) that Danny would survive, but he doesn't. If I had to write book #8, there would be a different ending. Now I need to find a nice, sweet, cotton candy book filled with puppies and rainbows to read...:)
What do You think about Gamble Everything (2013)?
See comments, cuz I'm an idiot and put my review in the wrong place. Also, please ignore typos.
