This was about growing up and figuring out what you want in your life and what is most important part. While Garrett needed to grow up and realize that he has been in dream of what he thought life while in reality it was quite different. On the other hand Julie needed to have a little bit of fun in life and not be so concerned about her son that she forgets that she needs a life too. During the story you learn to love both of the main charcters and get questions over what will happen between Paige and Austin in the next book. While this book does not have the same comic relief as Tate's book it still is a good read. 3/5 stars Oh goodness! Linda Lael Miller another page turner for me! Garrett story was a little more suspenseful than Tate's which was more appealing to me. I like a romance book as much as the next girl, but sometimes it becomes repetitive and predictable. This book didn't follow that mold there was many other side stories that the reader followed in the life of Garrett as well as Julie. Speaking of Julie I have to say her character was hard for me to like. Part of it was that she was so naive and distant. The thing that bothered me the most was that she kept convincing herself that she wasn't good enough or it just wasn't right for her. Then she would use her son as an excuse for everything, which annoyed me. Garret and Julie's story line was enjoyable to follow for the most part. I think the reason's above are why I kept putting it down. To be honest I liked to book it might sound like I didn't but I did there were just things that bothered me about the story.
This was my first Linda Lael Miller book and it won't be my last I'm hooked!
