The fifth book in this series focuses on Dorian, a latent DarkRiver leopard and Ashaya, a brilliant M-Psy who has chosen to leave the control of the Council and expose their nefarious plans, so she can save her son Keenan. But it’s never that simple.Dorian’s angst for falling for a Psy, the same race responsible for the the serial killer who slaughtered his sister is genuine and believable. Ashaya is one of the stronger heroines and I adore that she’s a true heroine in her own right - literally saving children and herself. The Bottom LineThe romance was fun and the world continues to fascinate me. Very enjoyable series so far. I decided to postpone writing a review about this book for a couple of weeks to see if I remembered anything about it. What I remembered: easy read, entertaining and addictive (in a junk-food kind of way) but no details about the contents. Having read the book blurb again it does come back: psy getting involved with an extremely unlikely partner: changeling who can't change, and whose sister was killed by a psy, unable to resist him, happy ever after etc. Singh continues to enlarge on the characters in this world, bringing more pairs together as she goes.
