I should stay away from Anthologies... ...seldom good things happen when I read them... And this one was by one of my favourite authors. So it was all in all an ok read. But the stories remained kind of pale. The characters - some of them from the full novels - remained shallow, too. And given that there was not enough context for those stories, not enough depths of the characters and not enough plausible development, the constant love talk felt very over-done and sappy. What a wonderful collection of stories. Tamsyn's pain in being denied Nate as her true mate was so heart-breaking but her determination to make him take her as his mate was beautiful to read. The courting dance between Grace and Cooper was my favourite of the stories as her wolf needed to be able to accept Cooper as a mate before Grace, the woman could. I love Lara and Walker and enjoyed seeing more of their relationship too. How Zach courted Annie was sweet and sexy. Just a must-read collection of winning stories from Nalini Singh.
