There isn't much you can say about the Breed. Come on they are hunks who would do anything for the woman they love. Who wouldn't want to be in their line of fire?Nathan is a Gen One, Hunter. An original. He has these built up emotions from when he was being trained and miss Jordana is the daughter of a rich man but has a inner call for a dangerous game. When she finally decides she's going to take a chance with Nathan, she finds out she is Atlantean. And not only a normal one but the granddaughter of one.I love reading these books. When I'm in the mood for romance, this is what I pick up. Yeah, there's fighting and beheading but the main focus is the love story. Corrine Bishop was held captive by Dragos for seventy-five years. Now she's free and wants nothing more than to find her son to make her life completely free. Corrine wants to go home to her parents but has to wait for one of the Breed Warriors from The Order to do so. When the warrior is delayed Hunter, the former GenOne Assassin by Dragos, offers to go in his place. Hunter is drawn to Corrine in ways that have been denied him for years by Dragos cruelty. Hunter has bad feeling about Corrine returning home and can't shake the feeling no matter what he does. Corrine's been betrayed by her father and wants nothing more than to leave and never return. Meanwhile Sterling Chase is becoming a loose cannon that The Order can little afford during this war with Dragos to protect humanity and Breed alike. Chase is edging closer to bloodlust with his every drink. Chase learns damning evidence that leads straight to Dragos. Chase takes a chance at getting Dragos once and for all. Dragos has mighty plans which thwarted by Chase's efforts. Will Corrine allow anyone close to her especially Hunter? What knowledge does Hunter have regarding Corrine? Will Dragos plans be destroyed? Your answers await you in Deeper Than Midnight.I do believe this is my favorite book of the series so far. Hunter's character has fascinated me since his introduction a couple of books ago. Hunter being apart of The Order has given it an edge and force to be reckoned with. Corrine's, a Breedmate, that suffered greatly at the hands of Dragos her strength of will and character make her a good match to Hunter. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.
