Wow! What a unique and interesting book. I absolutely loved it. While reading the first page, I thought I could not go through with it. But then I realized that the first few pages did not dictate how the characters would develop throughout the book. Samantha Blair did an exceptional job of bringing her characters to life. The story of Kat and David was very loving and emotional in a lot of ways. They truly loved each other and would do anything for each other. On the other hand, David's father was an abusive SOB to his wife and in some ways to David and Kat (I don't want to give away the story). This book is a MUST READ if you like books with subject of BDSM. It's not your typical vulgar BDSM book that the content makes you cringe. However, it has some real HOT sex scenes. Also, it touches upon sexual and physical abuse (not too explicit that would make you shy away from reading this book). Thank you Samantha Blair for an amazing and unique book! I'm not usually into the whole S&M thing, but this was kind of a different take - SHE introduces HIM to the lifestyle. And I liked the characters, as well as the way the story pretty skilfully shifts from timeframes to points of view. Some of it is rather silly and over the top, in regards to his family stuff, but it's an enjoyable and sexy read. FAR better written than S&M books that are more popular, that's for sure!
