What a jerk this Gerard was sometimes. A fairy Casanova.He was first totally into Belle, Beauty and the Beast. But in this story Belle was not that innocent and lovely girl but more behind the money from the Beast. That's why he doesn't really trust Betty. They were stuck together for a month. How to treat with a man like he is. well,... But he had to learn his lesson first. Gerard was a good Cook. You will find his recipes at the end of the story. A very interesting take on the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale...... or so I thought. If you are looking for a spin on the classic fairy tale, don't expect it in this story. This is actually taken off of Belle's ex-boyfriend(known as Gaston in the Disney animated feature, but known as Gerard here.) and his behaviors as a cad over the years have caused him to be greatly hated by many in the Kingdom. Being thrown to earth without the ability to be ahem, "amorous" for a months time in which he is bound to our "Belle" in servitude as his fate is waiting to be decided by her willingness to love him or not. I found the characters compelling and especially because our little heroine is a total geek that's obsessively into cos-playing! Which was quite cute. The reason I have rated this so low was because once again the author has far too many spelling and grammatical errors!! It makes me nuts to see a author with so much potential fall short because of poor editing. Ugh!!!!!
Not the best in the Kingdom Series but Gerard is tasty and it was enjoyable to read
