Alex Daddis 10/9/2014 The Ghost Dog Secret The book I am reading is called Ghost Dog Secrets it is by Peg Kehret and the genre is mystery. The book is about a boy named Rusty and he found a dog chained to a tree with no food or water. I like this book because it is a mystery and I like the setting of the book because it is outside, in school and in the house. The chapter I am on is chapter 11 and page 114 and I really like the book . I recommend this book to any you who likes mystery books . Story follows a boy's determination to rescue an abused German Shepherd. The author's descriptions follow his stream of consciousness in too much detail-which made me feel the writing lacked a smooth flow. The ghost dog wasn't very eerie -and thus-not mysterious enough. The elementary reader will have a good grasp of what an alliteration is after reading this. Bored with this story and ending was disappointing. Surprised this was a MHL nominee.
Peg Kehret delivers an action packed, exciting story once again. Great book for those who love dogs!
