Ghost Hunter (Chronicles Of Ancient Darkness #6) (2009) - Plot & Excerpts
This book is by far my favorite. It has all the mystery and adventure a book could contain, and the author uses all the details correctly, but the author doesn’t seem to want to kill her characters, and tries to keep them alive even if that means bringing them back to life, which i my opinion should be illegal. The main problem with this book is how, when or where the protagonists powers. Some of the rules of the protagonist’s powers seem stretched. Sometimes the main character can spirit walk and other times he cannot even though the power is supposedly in his body alone. These rules sometimes seem as though they should not be there because then the character does not seem to have the power that was given to him by the author even though it is said by other people I the story that he has his spirit walking powers to use at his disposal and also the protagonist sometimes thinks he cannot use or control his powers but other times he thinks that he could use his powers without losing his mind, body, or soul. The positive points of the book include the adventure. A first Torak leaves the camp to hunt down the villain Eostra . soon enough he is being chased by the villain himself, and although he is trying to avoid companions on the trip eventually he decides he needs them only to abandon the again later and then accepting them again after. Also the world is saved in the end not by any of the usual protagonists but by a extremely unlikely character, a crippled old man who is crazy and wanted his dead son back. And the fights between men and animals and wolves and crazed dogs are extremely intense. Overall it was a good conclusion to the book. This book is by far my favorite. What do You think about Ghost Hunter (Chronicles Of Ancient Darkness #6) (2009)?

I had to rush the end of this series somewhat as I have a hefty booklist to get through for work. Consequently I read the bulk of this story in one sitting on my day off. I wish I always had a chance to do this. Instead of snatching a couple of pages at bedtime, I was able to let the story carry me through, giving me a better appreciation of the pacing and the flow of events.Ghost Hunter brought the series to a satisfying conclusion in the exciting manner to which we have come to expect from Michelle Paver. The characters are engaging, the scenery breathtaking - a character in its own right - and the plot gripping. These six stories would make an excellent set of movies!Highly recommend to readers of all ages.
