I spent hours on a rainy afternoon immersed in this sixteen-page poem. The text was beautiful and honest, with interspersed shout outs to various Romantic themes. Giacomo Joyce (James Joyce in Italian) provides an interesting insight into the author's inner workings. (Who knew that James Joyce was a self-deprecating self-critic like the rest of us?)This book is a must-read for die hard Joyce fans. If you're dead-set on reading every scrap of paper Joyce ever blacked--or if you're stuck inside a library on a rainy day--definitely give this book a skim.
