If my Nook hadn't run out of power, I would have stayed up all night to finish this book. Steamy sex, sweet romance and two of the most charming characters I've ever read. I loved the ebb and flow of this book, the instant connection between Brinn and Davis and the signature Karla Doyle humor. Davis is so freaking hot and Brinn is completely adorable. The book has a timeline and I found myself rooting for them to figure it out, work and their crap and get to the next level before it was too late. I wanted to jump into the pages and yell at them. In a very short time these two hooked me and I just wanted them to have their happily ever after. If you've never read Karla Doyle, this is a great place to start. I LOVED this book. Don't wait until next Christmas, this is a read all year round kind of love story. I laughed out loud and even cried a couple of times. Another wonderful story from a fabulous author. I highly recommend Gift Wrapped. Brinn just got out of a relationship with a cheating boyfriend. She is the manager of a store and on Christmas eve, at closing time, a handsome man comes in to buy a present. First she tells him that the store is closed and he walks away, but she calls after him so he comes back. After some teasing banter, he invites her over at his place to spend Christmas Eve, as none of them has plans for the night. She accepts, telling herself she is crazy but the night turns out great. On the morning, she gets a call telling her that her father is in the hospital. As she is upset, Davis offers her to ride her there. Their good byes are awkward, and Brinn just knows that she won't see him again, that it was a just a hot one-night-stand. So when he shows up, waiting for her in the hospital waiting room she invites him for Christmas lunch with her family.With every passing moment, what was supposed to be a one night stand with a stranger starts to become so much more.I had a really great time with this book. This is a light and fun read. It would make a perfect romantic comedy on TV for the holidays.I totally recommend it :)
