Not the most inspiring collection. This is certainly not Crutcher's finest work. And the other stories were almost infantile in nature. One highlight includes the story of Wildcat, an indigenous American. I like that this character is a nerd who practices Kung Fu and has to have his butt saved by the girl he has a crush on. Blend this nerdiness with a cultural/political awareness of tribal life in his community, and this kid rocks. So this story, 5 stars, but the others... meh... This look really good, but I was left disappointed. I normally like short story collections, even though sometimes they are hit or miss, this one mostly missed. For one, just because it is short doesn't make it a short story. Most of these were story fragments, no start or no end or both. a short story should be more than just a chunk out of the middle of a story. Also, for stories that were supposed to be the same from two points of view, sometimes they didn't resemble each other at all. All in all pretty much a miss, but there were a couple of decent ideas in them.
What do You think about Girl Meets Boy, Boy Meets Girl (2014)?
awesome book. All of the stories we're so simple but beautifully written .

Interesting idea, and some very good authors. Stories read quickly.
