Glitch, Tome 3 : Insurrection (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
Woah! I cannot think of enough positive adjectives for this book! It was so fast paced while keeping completely true to the story of Glitch. There were a few moments when the bloodshed became intense but I suppose they are fighting a war and that is to be expected.Throughout Shutdown, Zoe is pushed beyond imaginable limits to try to save the ones she loves while eradicating the evil, power-hungry Chancellor. The character of Zoe has such amazing perseverance. She always stays steady in her missions and true to herself as well. While other generals are calling for nuclear bombs to end this war, Zoe refuses to allow another D-Day to happen. The character of Max was really prevalent in this novel. I know he played a key part throughout the whole series, but I was still shocked to have him up front and center. Putting a disliked character in the lead role was risky, but Anastasiu pulled it off!The arc of Adrien's character was probably the most interesting to me in this book. After being tortured by the Chancellor, Adrien just wasn't the same person. He goes through Hell trying to regain his sense of self, more for his benefit than others. Everything seems to work out in the end though!5 stars to Shutdown! Glitch was a great series!
