Vladimir Bejsiuk goalie of the Scorpions has been hot for the team's psychologist from the moment they met. Unfortunately for him, the team has a nagging rule about doctor/client fraternization and in spite of Vlad's best efforts Dr. Zoe Millis is not willing to brake it. At least not again. Zoe is in love with Vlad. There, she is woman enough to admit it. But she can not have him. She loves her job too much and worked damn hard at her career to lose it all over an affair. So, she will keep her distance from the gorgeous Ukrainian. And start dating again. Is she kidding? Zoe will not be dating someone else. Vlad will make sure of it. Nothing a little interference won't solve... Zoe and Vlad's story is quite funny, sexy, intense, emotional and deals with some serious family issues. As a bonus, a glimpse at Cage and Karen's story will hook fans at the end. Actually a 4.25 book. What a read! What a man! Oh that Vlad. *fans face* Yes, I admit it, I do have a thing for goalies so a wee bit of bias may be present here. I found this second book in the series to be a much smoother read. The rapid POV changes are a thing of the past. The book is filled with drama, a few twists, humor, and a romance that isn`t always unicorns and kitty whiskers. Both Zoe and Vlad act like fools at times. And isn`t that real life? You bet it is. The sex scenes are sensual, not overly explicit or lengthy, but still detailed enough to have this goalie lover fanning her face a few times. I`m looking forward to seeing what Ms. Worrell brings us with the next book, which, it seems, is about another goalie!
