Good Earl Hunting was a cozy little historical that I thoroughly enjoyed.Theodora is the younger sister of the acknowledged beauty of the season Bella. Her father is having a fox hunt where he's invited the bachelor of the season Geoffrey Kerick, the Earl of Vashton to throw at his daughter Bella. Everyone assumes that the Geoffrey will come to the hunt fall in love with Bella and live happily ever after but that would be boring. We want the overlooked Theodora to be happy and that's what The Earl wants too, with him. Ever since she told him he had a bloated ego Vashton cannot stop thinking about the one chit who didn't fall to his feet for his title and money. He doesn't want a porcelain doll for a wife but a challenging spitfire named Theodora. After 2 months of planning the Earl has arrived to the Hunt but not for a fox.The story is light, fun with not a lot of angst. Just what a cute little story should be. Sweet and funny story. The most sought-after bachelor of the season falls hard for a bluestocking who isn't afraid to say what she thinks and happens to be the younger sister to the beautiful Annabel. I enjoyed this story and liked Theodora and Geoffrey. Her honesty and the fact that she says what she thinks makes her interesting. I loved the dialog between the two characters, especially when Geoffrey pursues Theodora. He is insightful and sees beyond the surface to Theodora's vulnerability.
Cute, but I don't think short stories give me enough of what I want.
