Google Nooit Gebroken Hart (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
The first bit was entertaining, then it just dragged on. We all know what is going to happen from the beginning, but I kept reading because it's witty and light reading. I like the book, but the main character wasn't very likable. She was selfish and dramatic, and really no wonder she didn't have any friends. But I kept reading. There was something about it that was just plain entertaining, so overall I liked it. This is a story of a woman named Viv who is depicted multiple times as being a desperate thirty something year old whose only purpose is life is to get hitched and have a baby - QUICK! Viv is introduced to us as a woman planning her marriage to a man she has been dating for about 5 years who has had cold feet more times than I would think okay...but this isn't my story!Sadly for Viv - Rob decides he cannot go through with the marriage...resulting in the emergence of a desperate Viv...desperate...but at times comical Viv too. Born out of heart ache is a heart break forum/website for all broken hearts to moan freely! This book is a sweet and charming read. There is not much unpredictablity about it, but there are few cringe worthy moments courtesy of Viv that make the book a fun read. Great with a cup of tea on a sunny afternoon!N.B.
