I couldn't bear to give a series I've enjoyed so much a 2*...but this most definitely was the worst of Cast's writing that I've experienced. If this was the first book I'd read, I would never have read another. While there were a few humorous moments, overall it was incredibly annoying. To imagine that a woman could waltz into a medieval castle, talk incomprehensibly (oh & btw, all of the dialog was stilted & not even a little bit realistic, not even for the purposes of a fantasy novel), attack the heir, insult the queen & fornicate with the king...and become beloved of the entire populace...while making the women play "Duck, Duck, Goose"...maybe you need to cut back on the wine!Truly, it was awful. And I only finished it because it was part of a series I had liked...until these last 2 books. And it was awful in that "rubber-necking" can't-stop-looking/reading, kinda way. So the ending of this book is a little disturbing like seriously you knowI guess I liked it however compared to all the others in the series, it is the worse oneand the story is quite unlikely how both husband and wife wiuld start having affairs and miraculously accept one another's decisions, human nature does not really allow us that luxurybut I loved mary, and James, they were adorable
What do You think about Göttin Der Legenden (2013)?
Indulgent romance fantasy with little plot and one-dimensional characters ... But I didn't hate it!

One of my favorite among the goddess summonin series. I had fun reading this book. Witty and fun!

I read it. It wasn't nearly as enjoyable as the rest of the series.
