I previously read "Just Beginning" and "Just Destiny" by this author, so I was excited to read this one. She did not disappoint once again. This book had great characters that were so well developed. I really couldn't put this book down. What an amazing family drama with quite the twist at the end - so much emotion that was so well conveyed.Ms. Rizzo has another book ("The Lives Between Us") coming out in June that I await with baited breath!!! What a discovery she has been for me. Received ARC for an honest review4.5 StarsWhat an intense, gut wrenching, heart breaking book. I felt like I was living in this book. I didn't want to put this book down. I needed to know the outcome of the story.Catherine is a young naive girl who finally grows a backbone. She wanted to please her dad so she would do whatever he told her to do. She met and fell in love with Thomas when she was eighteen. She got pregnant and they eloped. Her parents were livid and wanted them to get divorced. So when one of their twins died and Thomas was accused of murder her parents tried to turn her against him. When Thomas was acquitted he left the state to attend college. Catherine felt alone and gave temporary custody to her parents she she could attend Stanford college. This was a huge thing to her family. She didn't want to leave her baby, but her dad convinced her to. Does this end up being a big mistake?Thomas has lived a rough life. He thought that he had found the good life with Catherine. They had an instant connection to each other. He knew they married too soon, but with her pregnant he wanted to do the right thing. Then he didn't know what to do after his son died and he was accused of killing him. He decided to move away for college and give Catherine and him a break. Then one day Catherine shows up on his doorstep and changes everything. What does she want? Can he relive his heartache? This journey they go on feels so real. As I said earlier I honestly felt like I was part of the book. I wanted to give this book 5 stars, but I feel that the end was a little too rushed and ended abruptly. I needed an epilogue. I felt that something bad was going to happen with the way it ended. If you like books that tear you apart and put you back together this is a must read.
