I have to say as the first installment in this series... I really love it. Taylor V created two characters you couldn't help, but fall in love with. Even though at times I felt very frustrated the "elephant in the room" got drag on for several unnecessary chapters before being reveal. Although It was obvious what the "elephant " that was keeping the two couples apart just a few chapters in... after Roman drop several hints. It only made sense to me after I finished the book that this was going to be a trilogy. It explain why the author stretch the miss understanding as long as she did for several chapters.(if you ask me... I think it could've been reveal sooner) I have mixed feelings about Hearsay. I really liked Roman but I didn't like Derrick, he seemed very drama queen to me and I don't care for those personalities. I felt Roman and truly got him and he seemed very real to me. What I didn't like was that Roman and Derrick continuously reminded me of women. Gay or straight they are still men and I constantly felt that what they said and how they responded to one another was how women would respond and that's what women would say and not men. This book would have been a four star for me if the story was complete and did not end in the middle of the story. I love series but I like each book to actually and and the next book start a different story line not cliffhangers. This is what was done in Ms. Donovan's Degrees series and though I love Sam and Mac oh so much the cliffhangers and the story not ending is a problem for me. The things that I didn't like are pet peeves of mine but it was still a pretty good story.
Cliffhanger much?Daresay, Gainsay... when???
