Relief rushed through me so fast I thought I was going to pass out. I chuckled, “Then why the grim face?” “Well, we didn’t get all of it.” His jaw clenched and his eyes dropped. “I’m so sorry, Amir. But it looks like some of the cancer cells have grown outside of the prostate gland.” It couldn’t have hurt more if he’d punched me square in my face. I inhaled loudly because I wasn’t sure if I was still breathing. I looked at the man that I thought was going to save my life and damn near yelled, “How the hell did that happen?”
