First of all, it's important to know that you should read this book before you move on to the next books in the series (obviously, but I do know some people who reads books in a roundabout way. It gets a little bit tedious in some places, but you get a lot of information and a good understanding of what the Heku's about. After this one, i could not wait to get started on the rest. And as usual, I won't give away any spoilers. Just make sure you read it :) A friend told me about this book so I read it since B&N was offering it for free along with the second book. Like a few other reviews, I'm not sure how I feel about this series. It does have that Twilight feel in so far as the immortal and the human falling for each other and the friend lusting afer what he can't have. I was annoyed with Emily and her stubborness throughout. It was good but, I'm not sure if I will finish the series.
What do You think about Heku (2000)?
Terribly written. Predictable. Couldn't even finish it.
