Ok, I could get all sorts of used to Hellboy epics. Several different things from the past all come together in this one, and it doesn't quite finish here. This was all one long story, now moving into more fantasy realm than horror. It's not ghost stories anymore. It's witches under the earth and undead armies and evil mystics and all that whimsical folklore business done in scary reds and grays. Also, this one was clear and concise. Hellboy may or may not be the Beast of the Apocolypse. Everybody wants something of the guy, and everybody's starting to pull. So rad. I was already thrilled about reading Hellboy, but he went and fed my fannish heart by including Queen Mab as a wise advisor, and then brought it out to Morgan Le Fay and matrilinear descent from King Arthur. And man, the awesomeness of the switch here! Making Morgan good and her sister Morgause evil has been done to death, but making Morgan tentatively on the hero's side while turning THAT character into an outright villain? That's brilliant. I am dying to see what happens next!
Pretty good, more classic Hellboy stuff. I prefer this to him going around and shooting crap.

The Hellboy saga continues. Stories are woven together and it moves forward. Superb as usual.

While I thought this would have more to do with Norse mythology, it's quite enjoyable.

It was a great Hellboy comic, but was sometimes a little all over the place

I loved it...It was my first Hellboy that wasn't a one shooter.
