She couldn’t reach you on your cell phone.” There was nothing left to say, Finn connected the dots. “You bastard! Why didn’t you answer your phone?” She wiped her nose and glared at him. “He–” Drake started to say something. “Shut it.” Finn elbowed his friend. “When did the explosion take place?” Finn leaned forward and demanded. “A half hour ago. Pops was alerted on his phone’s security system. He wants to drive up, but Jack won’t let him.” “Good man,” Finn praised Jack. “Finn, he keeps horses,” Angie explained tearfully. “We’re going over there now. Jack, as soon as I check on the damage, I’ll be heading on down to San Antonio. Have everybody ready to leave.”
