This is a quick, but beautiful contemporary romance that definitely tugs at the heart. Norah Laramie is a wounded warrior recently home from Afghanistan and is learning to live with the possible change in his career choice, but also the limitations of his injuries. Lily Germaine is a young woman who teaches at the local high school. When her best friend, Jen, asks her for a favor she had no idea how her life would suddenly change. The second in the Laramie Brothers series, Her Lone Cowboy is about Noah Laramie, an officer injured and returning home to heal and decide what direction his life is going to take next. He's gruff and prickly, although that doesn't put off Lily Germaine, who's agreed to give him a hand as a favor to her best friend, Jen, who's engaged to Noah's brother.I really liked Lily and Noah's characters--very nicely drawn, Ms. Alward! The story as a whole flowed well, and it was a great read.
