Anything about Stonehenge catches my eyes! This book is written similarly to Dan Brown's The DaVinci Code in that it contains many short, faast read chapters just filled with intrigue and excitement. It's hard to put down the book!Spoiler Alert! This tale is about Gideon whose supposed father has just committed suicide. Also it involves the daughter of the USA's VP who at 22 yrs. old is a student in England. She gets captured and will be the next sacrifice to the Sacreds, a religion involving the stones and their power to heal and protect. Of course everything gets resolved after many deaths. Stonehenge the mystery, the cult, the history... just like the pyramids we still wonder how they were built. This book was set in modern times with the story stretching our minds and our imaginations. At the end we were left wondering how a cult could exist underground in modern times, would the neighbourhood notice all the comings and goings of so many people and vehicles. The story was well paced with a satisfying ending, well at least the main character survived the bombing and earth collapse. Isn't that how stories unfold they place us in another world or at least suspend our belief.
Pretty childish book. Smelled the plot a mile away. The poor man's adventure story.
