Go on up.” The man walked with her to the elevator and waited until it opened before giving her another smile and moving back to the lobby. “Have a good day Ms. Matheson.” The doorman’s kind words made her almost cry again. It was so rare that anyone who knew her last name would smile or be anything other than cold and indifferent. The doors closed and the elevator lurched, taking her up twenty floors to where Kylie lived.
