It took a lot of time, it ended up being a lot longer, and I think it's a lot better because of it. There were some really difficult scenes to write in this one, but I think that's what makes it that tiny bit better than some other things. Most particularly, I had a really hard time writing the scene involving Cole. Maybe it's a bit silly, but I get very attached to my own characters, and while I think bad things happening sometimes is good and necessary, it's kind of hard to deal with. They're kind of like children or friends in that way; we always want the best for them. Besides that, I'm proud to announce that this is my 50th e-book! When I started this, it seemed like gaining any traction and doing better and becoming "real" was impossible. I know some other authors who do very well, with lots of great e-books, and fans, and everything, but I didn't know if that was possible for me.
