Amy needs money for college so she takes a good babysitting a guy her age. The thing is he's blind. But the $20 an hour she's getting paid may just help.Tristian had everything before the tragic horse riding accident which robbed him of his sight, his friends and his life. He isn't too happy that his mother has hired him a babysitter but maybe Amy is the person who can help a reluctant Tristian to adapt to a world without colour? The storyline felt really gripping and made me swoon slightly. The whole idea of love being blind caught my eye. I read this in one sitting and loved it. I would have given this book another star if didn't feel a tad rushed. When I started His Eyes, I was truly contemplating on actualy reading it. So I said what the hay! I'll just read it. By the first chapter, I was already disliking it, strongly. I thought Amy was a brat. I know what the author was implying. She wanted Amy to be this girl who is different from all the other girls. The voice of reason and one who sticks up for herself. Well, all I saw was Amy getting upset at the wrong people for the wrong reasons. Okay so a few times (like when she got mad at Lexus) was understandable, but overall she ended up getting upset at the wrong people. Another thing that annoyed me is when Amy said that Tristan was being a big baby for not accepting his blindness in two months. Yes I don't believe that he should sit there like he was doing, but she should have also looked at his percpective of things too! Plus I think she acted like a baby about a lot things herself. Amy's character is supposed to be 18 and at some times I can say "there's the maturity" but at most times I couldn't see how she was in any way maturely handaling things. I think the only character I loved in the entire book was Chris....and I guess Marley too. They were both the only truly awesome characters that remotely acted civily and right. Everyone else was over the top and super annoying. Oh and the kissing scenes. That's about all I liked about the story. So a three is my final rating. I say Read it, there were some other reviewers that liked it :)
What do You think about His Eyes (2009)?
Hermosa historia, me encanto la forma tan fácil en que se desarrollan los personajes.
