I went to school, and everything seemed to be going smoothly until I ran into Colton Caldwell in Music Appreciation. It wasn't like I had forgotten about his existence, or the feelings he caused, but it was easier to ignore them when he wasn't staring me dead in the face. I groaned internally as he smiled at me, the charm of it sending the butterflies in my stomach into a drunken confused stupor. Why did he have to be so cute and kind and perfect? Part of me hated myself for wanting him, but the other part blamed Damien for it. As soon as class was over, Colton was flanking my side and asking if I wanted to hang out after school. I made up a lame excuse about being busy and then quickly walked away. The best thing I could do for my relationship with Damien was to ignore Colton. He was persistent though. On Tuesday, I told him I didn't feel well. On Wednesday, I said I was going to my mother's place. On Thursday, I was visiting my aunt. By the time Friday came around, I figured he would have given up.
