I read this as Hitler's Secret, which is the title used by Scholastic and Amazon in the U.S. (I think Goodreads needs to acknowledge this title change). I did not like this book. I am a lover of historical fiction, so I was excited to read this title, but I was seriously disappointed. I thought the characters and plot were weakly developed, and the story was not believable in many places. I found myself rolling my eyes at some of the plot twists, and the chase scenes reminded me of a bad action comedy. All that being said, I think some middle school kids, the target audience, will enjoy the book. It starts off slowly, though, so reluctant readers will probably not be sucked in. There were some good parts to this novel. I liked the relationship between Leni and Otto, and I also liked their misson. The stunts and quick getaways were an added bonus. But I absolutely despised the ending of this book. It defeated the purpose of the entire novel for me. I felt like there was so much going on throughout the plot and at the end it just fell flat. I won't spoil the ending for you, just in case you want to read this book, but I do not recommend it at all.
What do You think about Hitler's Secret (2013)?
Fun action, adventure story. Not as much history as I would have liked.
