I haven't read a murder mystery since "The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" years ago. My mom lent this to me and she was right that it was a lot of fun. The murders are in connection with a local coffeeshop/bakery and the setting for a lot of the scenes include delicious descriptions of egg nog lattes and ginger crackle cookies. It is a fun book if you are a foodie, like a lot of puns and are looking for a holiday story to entertain you. I read this just after Christmas but it was still a lot of fun. Fun cozy mystery. I always enjoy this series and the characters. In "Holiday Buzz," Clare takes matters into her own hands when a part time employee is murdered. She dislikes the methods used by the lead detective, who believes only in DNA results. As usual, Clare ends up in a few tight situations, but manages to get out of them and solve the case. There are also recipes at the end of the book, I've made some from previous books and they always turn out well.
Fun read. Several suspects, holiday fun, cookies!! Entertaining read.
