I sincerely enjoyed the beginning. Loved the cat and mouse chase between Josie and Anders. Their sexual tension was intense and fun to see. I also really enjoyed the supporting characters, Madison!!! Unfortunately I thought the storyline was obvious and towards the end I was becoming frustrated with all the misunderstandings and fights. I'm grateful that they found their way back to each other and I especially liked the last page when they declared their feelings. Overall, good read that's worth your time and money. 3.5 StarsJosie and Anders are damaged by their pasts and the lives they now lead. Both committed to jobs in the entertainment industry, they find nothing but distain when they meet. Yet, as they spend more time together, sparks begin to fly. Unable to resist the draw to each other, they give in to their passion, but there is trouble lurking in the wings, waiting to see if they can be broken. Hollywood & Vine; where passion and promise intersects with jealousy and greed. I liked Hollywood & Vine, I really did, but I had moments of wishing that Anders and Josie just wouldn’t make it. Call it the angst lover in me, I guess. I did root for them to heal and find what they were looking for in each other. There was just this one little part of me that hoped they couldn’t be fixed. Olivia’s writing was solid and her storyline was good, especially for a debut author. At times, though, it dragged a little for me and I felt like maybe there were just too many obstacles for Josie and Anders to overcome. I love angst but at points it was a little over the top. I do recommend this book for anyone that enjoys a Hollywood love story.*Given to Books Books Books Blog for a fair and honest review*
What do You think about Hollywood & Vine (2000)?
Recycled cliches about bad boys and Hollywood. I recommend reading something original, instead.
