Home In Time For Christmas (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

Melody is on her way home for Christmas when she hits a man who appears out of thin air in the road in front of her. Rather than take him to the hospital, she takes him home with her, and he claims it is his home and that he is a revolutionary war patriot. Melody refuses to believe he is a time traveler, but instead attributes his hallucinations with the car accident. Her family notices the sparks between this polite stranger and their daughter quickly, but it soon becomes apparent that this man is not what she is making him out to be. I am a sucker for time travel stories and anything having to do with Christmas, so I enjoyed this flawed story in spite of its shortcomings. The writing is adequate, but there are a lot of plot-holes and cliches. If you're looking for a quick read to enhance the holiday season, this is pleasant but it is nothing to rave about or to read twice. This was a touching and interesting read. I liked the characters, although I definitely wanted to knock some sense into her quite a few times. I liked the imagination and the twists the story line took. The family was great and I definitely had a few laughs and wistful smiles while reading this. A good Christmas read and great for cuddling up for a relaxing read. There was humor, good characters, fun, some kooky-ness, a good story line, touching moments, and an overall good feeling to the book that makes you want to open up to the unimaginable and believe. Enjoy
