This is a prequel to a series I have yet to read. When I saw this novella, I was looking for a quick read and decided in this one.I actually did enjoy this little novella. Of course, the story line went really fast, but it is really cute still. Again, this is the prequel to other books. I am considering at least looking into reading the first one after this (A Promise For Miriam).This is a Christian series, about an Amish family & friends. When I do read Christian books, I do tend to like the Amish type of books or the historical ones from time to time. But I try to find the more contemporary stories as well. But, if you like Amish Christian stories, give this one a try. If you like it, go on to the next in the series. From my understanding, they can be read as a series, or even stand alones. Sigh….this short ebook is sweet, precious, hopeful, and the perfect indication of what the rest of the Pebble Creek Series brings in uniqueness, overcoming heart aches, and forgiveness. If you haven’t already read those three books, then this is the perfect start. If you have, you will be reminded of each book and the promises each one holds with incredible characters and the assurance of trusting in God’s will (Gotte’s wille). Loved it, there’s no place like Home.

I usually do not read novellas, but this series is very well written.
